Does anyone have any tips for washing hair with strapping on. I had my op on Tuesday and am normally really OCD about having my hair nice and clean. I really want to wash it tomorrow but I’m strapped up very tightly and still don’t have much movement. Does anybody have any advice? Xx
Yeah I’ve used dry shampoo but it just doesn’t do the same trick 🙁 may have to try the hairdressers but I feel so bloated at the moment too, I don’t want to go out in public lol x
I had an uplift last week and my strapping came up high on my chest to the extent that I couldn’t move my neck properly. I needed to wash my hair as it had been 6 days, so hubby got all my pillows and lay them in the middle across the bed.. put a few towels on top pillow and bed. Got a washing up bowl and a cup and I lay on the pillows like I would when Going to sleep but my head was a bit higher so it hung slightly over the top pillow and the washing up bowel was under my head at the bottom of the pillow pile.. it was a bit messy and hubby managed to get a pillow wet when washing my hair but it did the trick and I felt so much better.
I wouldn’t of been able to go to hairdressers as I also had a tummy tuck and couldn’t move a lot.
Thank you! I didn’t think of a washing up bowl, that should work, just too worried to lean over the sink because it’s at an awkward height and I’m still so uncomfortable with the strapping being so tight xx
Yeah I’ve got a bath with a shower head in as well, so I may try and lean over there tomorrow just don’t have much movement in my arms at the moment. Think I may just need to man up xx
