Weight gain immediately post op

Just a heads up for anyone pre-op now.
I didn’t expect it and it’s really annoying me
I’m not even on codeine which I know can cause constipation
I was 9 stone 7am today
I’m currently 9 stone 8!) and have am ‘outy’ belly button currently (not normal for me)
How long is it likely to last?

I was exactly the same I weighed myself before my op and then when I got home and I had put on 7 1/2 pound I’d only eat a piece of toast all day too couldn’t believe it Hahaa! Most of it came off after about 4/5 days tho, and I’m about 3 pound heavier now 9 days PO, I’ll blame that on the implants haha xx

I gained 23lb after my op can’t blame it all on the new boobies tho. Shifted it within 3 weeks though.

I wondered why I struggled to put on my jeans ? Thought it was the anti biotics x

I even googled the weight of the implants and they were like less than 2 pounds haha bring on the salad ??

I hope it does pass lol I’m a week post op today and have put on 3 kilos in the week!! No longer taking any meds either ? X

I had mine done 3 weeks ago am still not my weight yet but am a hell of a lot small then I was a week ago.

I have no idea why I have out on so much weight I have still been very active since my op healing well and not taking any pain meds since second day so unless it has something to do with the anaesthetic I can’t think of any reason ? Xx

Hello, I have put on a stone since my op (im 8weks PO) I was very bloated for about the first 3 weeks after the op which I wasn’t expecting and was really uncomfortable. This was down to the antibiotics and Co-Codamol and my nurse said that swelling travels down the body too. This slowly passed but now I am still a stone over my pre op weight and very down about it!! I think its because I’ve not been to the gym until my 6 week check (My nurse said not to) but a stone is ridiculous! Living at the gym now to shift it, Ive got the boobies want the body to match!! xx

I have no idea either why.
It’s not just my stomach because my jeans are tight too
It’s literally immediately the same day as I came out of the hospital.
It must be fluid surely?

I think its because of the painkillers and anaesthetic, and in the healing process your body will retain water! I am so bloated still 1 week post op feel like I’ve put on so much weight!

The weight gain is caused by having GA! It makes your body bloat/hold water etc! I had my op over 12 weeks ago now, put on half a stone straight after my op, was bloated & puffy for about 3 weeks then I went back to my original weight! It does goes eventually xxx
