What antibiotics did you have?

I know I’ve asked this before but didn’t get many replies haha! I’m alergic to quite a lot of antibiotics which is a pain in the bum! Penicillan being the main one! Just wondering what ones you were given if you were alergic to penicillan? I’m allergic to ciprofloxacin, cephalexin and enrythromicin and obviously penicilan haha which I’ve read is pretty much the ones you get! Nurse has reassured me I won’t get any of those so hoping I won’t have any allergies to any new ones haha one week today!! Xx

I cant even remember what they are called. Don’t think it was penicillin tho. They wont give u them if ur allergic tho they’ll have to give u something else xx

Good thanks im just starting to get really tired now been up since 3.30am but going to wait until 10pm so i can have some more tablets just to keep on top of them 🙂 then going to try and get comfy and get some sleep xx

I’m really allergic to penicillin and they gave me Erythromycin.

I had a reaction to the amoxiclav which is penicillin base after the op. I literally had two tablets and I was told to stop them and I didn’t need anything else as they are only a preventative measure. You are given Iv antibiotics during the op but not sure what I got. My face went all numb and eye kids started to swell…nice !

Oh god Nicole that’s what happens to me! So worried they will say there’s non I can have and not do the op ha ha x

I am allergic to penicillin and intolerant to erythromycin and cefalexin. The anaesthetist told me that if he couldn’t find something I would be ok without. In the end they found an antibiotic I could take but they didn’t have it in the hospital so we had to drive to the nearest chemist when I got discharged xx
