Hi girls , trying to get organised for my BA, it’s not until the 17th November but the prep for it all gets me equally excited ! Maybe a silly question but when you have your boobs done do you need to take a bra with you to wear after surgery or do they just strap them up etc and leave them like that until 7 days P.O. ? Then wear a sports bra ? Looking at Macon bras but obviously with how much they are I don’t want to waste money where I don’t need to . Any advice would be welcome ! I’ve seen That asda post op bras are good but they are out of stock 🙁

It depends on your surgeon so you are best off checking. I was in strapping without a bra for the first 5 days until my strapping was removed but some use strapping and stiĺl wear a bra over the top. My surgeon reccomended matalan post op bras but the one i needed was out of stock on the run up to surgery so he said ro get the asda post op bras. I ended up with both because the other came back into stock. They are both supportive, my surgeon doesnt like the front fastening bras. They all have there own opinion on whats best xx

I bought the MYA post surgery bra’s and have been told to take them with me to put one on straight away as my surgeon doesn’t use strapping. But my surgery is on Friday and I haven’t received the MYA one yet so I have bought one from Mark and Spencer’s that loads of people on IG recommended and Im going to take that with me 🙂

Hi lovely, I also bought the MYA post surgery bras. There’s so many questions about post surgery bras on here – what cup size will I need if I’m having “x” implants, will I need a S, M or L, what back size, is this particular bra supportive enough, is front fastening ok etc etc etc! I found it to be an absolute minefield so I just asked my PC to tell me which size MYA one I would need when I tried the implants on. That way you know you’re going to have the right fit and they are surgeon recommended in terms of swelling and support. They are way more expensive than getting one from say Matalan or Asda, but at least you know they are the right tool for the job, and at the end of the day you are going to live in them for the next 6-10 weeks of your life so all in all I think it’s a fair price to pay. And I have to say they feel great and are incredibly comfortable! Hope this helps xxx
