Hi Ladies,
I was wondering what you old told work etc regarding what you were having done?
I’ve just reserved my op date and I’m a self-employed dog walker. I’ve got help from my sister with the dogs for while I’m recovering but I’m going to have to put a message out to all my customers that I’m having surgery but it won’t affect the service sort of thing.
Now I know I shouldn’t need to expand on ‘having surgery’ but I know some are going to ask and I don’t know what to say. Some will see me as I’m hoping to be back doing my rounds after 2 weeks but with my sister there to hold the dogs etc so I don’t get pulled around. I was thinking of saying I’m having an op on my shoulder but then they’d expect to see me in a sling and not able to drive so I was thinking of saying it’s to fix an old injury for my ribs or something. What do you think? TIA
Hey
This is something I’m struggling with on what to say but your story about having op to fix an old injury on your ribs sounds good and believable
I’ve not even told my family yet and I’m booked in for the 5 th of Feb
Xx
I’m not booked until 14th July but trying to forward plan as it’s not as simple as just taking time off work.
Glad you think it’s believable. Might go with that. I don’t want to lie but I don’t want to tell them exactly what I’m having done. So I guess an op on my ribs isn’t too far off.
I have told very few people. Obviously my sister knows as she’s going to be working for me but I’ve only told my mum, grandma and very close friend. I don’t plan on telling anyone else. Maybe just drop it in conversation and say you’ve been thinking snout it for a long time and it’s what you want. That’s if you think you have to tell them at all. I’ve no intension of telling my dad as he doesn’t need to know but it’s up to you. I would say to make your mind up though as if you’re anything like me I stress about telling people things and get myself worked up! You’ll have to let me know how your op goes. I’m sure you’ll be fine xx
Hi I had my op last week and love my new boobs but haven’t told anyone I am sure they will notice I have found I carnt walk 2 of our dogs as can be strong and it makes it sore but am sure will be fine next week
Glad you’re in love with them Helen! Hopefully you’ll be less sore soon. I wasn’t planning on doing anything for the first 2 weeks. Maybe start just walking one dog at once when you do start walking them though so you’re not pulled in all directions!!
Hey Holly
Yeah it’s good that your planning ahead always best to be prepared
I haven’t told anyone only my husband knows
slightly worried what they might think
It’s really nice of your sister to help you out with the dogs etc
Yeah I definitely stress about telling people things obviously I’m going to have to say something because they will notice lol I’ll definitely let you know how it goes and show you the before and after pics of mine 🙂 xx
I’ve added you as friend (I think, I’m still working my way round this forum 😂) if that’s alright? Be nice to chat with someone else going through it if you want to xx
Hey Holly
of course I’ve just accepted you now 🙂
I’m still getting used to it aswell 😂
yeah it will be nice to chat it’s always helpful knowing someone else is going through the same thing as you
What size are you having done 🙂 xx
What size are you wanting xx
Also ladies I bought marcom white bra £42 with postage and packaging its OK but must put iodine on your boobs during surgery which has stained it so day after I bought 2 black zip up sports bra from asda £9 each and they are so comfy
Hi Helen I was wondering where I should get my post op bras from aswell everyone was recommending marcom
Is the marcom one comfy aswell xx
It is not as comfy as the the asda one but they told me to get the marcom 1 and they fitted it after surgery
I just told my work because I needed the time off luckily my managers had the same thing done so she can’t really say anything, my surgery’s booked for the 14th July too with mr Traynor, who are you with
I just told work I wanted a week holiday .. they did ask if I had a nice time when I got back and I said yes I didn’t like the lying but didn’t want all the questions that would come if I told them I’d had boobs done x
@pinkprincess 123 I’ve not had my surgeon consultation yet so I’m not sure what size options I’ve got. I’m booked to see the surgeon on 27th Feb so I will know soon. Not looking forward to showing him my boobs! What’s the surgeon consultation like?
@helenpony Thanks for the tip with the bras. I’m going to see what the nurse says before I get any.
@vickymarshallx I’m with Mr Traynor too!! I’m so nervous to meet him. What’s he like?!
@mummyemma91 thanks 😊 I don’t want all the questions either. I’m doing it for me, not anyone else and I don’t really want people to notice! X
The only issue you may have is why would you be having surgery on ribs? Cracked ribs are left to heal naturally and I cant think of another reason to have ribs fixed?
Hey Holly
I was the same worrying about showing my boobs but once I got in the room
I was shown sizes and asked what I was hoping to achieve they then tell you if thats possible by the measurements but if the size they give you isn’t what you hoped for and you wanted bigger then maybe ask them if it’s possible to go to the max they will give you
I tried a few sizes on and then chose my size once you get in there and get talking you will feel much better and think all the worrying was for nothing
I was dreading getting my deflated 30A cup boobs out lol your there to improve so thought if my boobs wasn’t like this and I wasn’t going to have surgery then they would be Making money if that makes sense haha what size are you hoping for xx
They wouldn’t be making money I mean lol not would xx
@hwally93 mr Traynor is really nice I wouldn’t have my surgery with anyone else. He’s just straight to the point and is really honest and gave me so much information. Told me what i needed but didn’t say I need this and that done he gave me options and just said what would happen if I didn’t. He has a sense if humour I was really nervous but he’s so good at what he does. Seeing him again at the start of February.
@tara86 that’s a very good point. I never thought of that! Hmm… I’ll have to have another think.
@pinkprincess123 thank you for that. Makes me a little less nervous. I just get myself worked up over things like this. I know it’s often not as bad you expect. As for the size, I have no idea yet. I’m thinking possibly something around the 350cc mark. I want to go a couple of sizes bigger but to still look natural but it not be really obvious either if that makes sense.
@vickymarshallx so glad he’s nice and straight talking. I’m nervous to meet him and about the whole thing but I’ve wanted this for so long and I’m finally in a position to make it happen. Glad I’ve found someone who’s on the same day! X
Hey Holly
Dont worry you will be absolutely fine ☺️
What are your stats ?
350cc sounds good
I’m having either 460cc extra high profile unders or 420cc extra high profile unders
hoping they ain’t too big for me 😬xx
@hwally93 yeah I was so nervous as first but he’s so nice. Yeah I’ve always wanted it done I booked it pretty much as soon as I saw him a couple of weeks ago I’m just worried about the size but I’m seeing him again. Just feels so long away 😩 and I know never thought I would ahah! xx
