What do they do in your 7 day post op appointment?

I have mine tomorrow and I’m a little unsure what’s going to be happening? Do they just change my dressings?

Yes, they change them if needed, and check your incisions. They also take the strapping off if that’s the case. And hopefully give u all clear for showers;)

You won’t get the all clear for showers with your reduction, hun, it’ll be a little while yet. They’ll change your dressings and check your incisions, they’ll tell you what you can and can’t do. We have a lot more incisions and healing than everyone else so showering is unlikely for maybe another week.
I’ve had complications, I’m six weeks PO tomorrow and still can’t shower.

What is strapping?x

Yeah and it’s really tight. I had strapping then wore my macom over it.

I had my dressings removed on Monday and nurse checked my incisions before cleaning them. She put a thin tape back over each incision and told me I can shower and remove the tape on Thursday. It didn’t hurt at all. Hope that helps x I had unders, no strapping x
