I have my pre op tonight with the nurse at the Wimpole Street clinic. I usually go to Fenchurch Street but the Nurse wasn’t available after 6:00pm.

What will happen tonight and how long does it usually take please?

It only takes about half an hour Rebecca, she just checks your blood pressure, height and weight, and then goes through any medical conditions you have and then tells you what to do to prepare for surgery i.e. take nail varnish off, don’t eat past midnight night before etc. It’s more of an information thing than anything 🙂 xxx

Thanks hun. I was thinking they would take bloods etc.

I’m annoyed as it’s been cancelled now. Rebooked for next week but she didn’t seem sure that the other nurse is back off holiday. Slightly worrying as I only have 17 days x

Oh you also have to have swabs in your mouth just to check for mrsa virus. As long as you have it before the op it’s ok I think mine was only a week before chick xxx

Hi my pre op was suppose to be on 18th but now rescheduled for the 22nd,

They can take your blood if the surgeon put it on your notes? And also the surgeon can put on note to get a letter from gp aswell.

    Xx
