    Hi girls,

The thing that worries me most is how the recovery will be so thought those of you who have been through it would be the best people to ask…..
How long did you feel pain for, when was you able to go back to daily life, drive, do shopping, work etc
Also those who have children how did you find the recovery and looking after them.
How long before you could pull a tshirt over your head, raise your arms?
Sorry for the grilling ????????‍♀️ Xx

Hey! So I am 2 weeks and 3 days post opp now. I also have a 4 year old. When I came home with my new girlies I had childcare sorted for the first 3 days and I’m glad I did. I wasn’t in pain, was taking paracetamol 4 hourly and the stronger pain relief just before bed which made me really drowsy. So I actually slept quite alot over the first 3 days. But having my daughter out the house was definitely the best thing as that meant I could just focus on me. Day 3 was the worst for me, in the morning I cried as I was getting out of bed. Was horrendous. But that was the worst it got. I was driving on day 6 short distance to begin with. Gear changing was bit tricky. I felt better each Day and day 9 I felt normal just with slightly limited arm movement. I’m still careful about lifting my arms up, not very comfortable and If I over do it my boobs definitely feel the strain. Bare in mind everyone copes with pain differently but for me personally i sailed through it. Hope this helps. X

Went back to work after a week (have an office job though), at that point I still struggled a little bit with putting my winter coat on and took a bus to work. At 2WPO I regained all of my arm movement, had 275 under the muscle 🙂 good luck with your op! 🙂 xx

Okay so maybe it’s just me but I really didn’t have any pain at all. I read up so much on this forum and was prepared for the worst. The day of surgery I was sick, not with pain just the anaesthetic!
The next morning I was able to lift my shirt over my head and flush the toilet on my own. I was able to carry on doing things as normal and nothing really changed for me. I have a 2 and a 4 year old and I had arranged childcare but was looking after them from 2dpo! I went back to work after a week and I was more than ready!
Whatever your recovery, try not to worry because your boobies will be fabulous!! Good luck xx

I should note I wasn’t a standard BA I had an uplift with it too so it’s classed as major surgery x

Everyone really is different. I have a 1 year old and 3 year old and I am now 7 days post opp and still can’t lift the one year old. I’ve had under the muscle. I can move most of my right arm but my left is majorly swollen hence why my movement is restricted. I’m trying to take painkillers less frequently but on some occasions it does has to be every 4 hours! It badicalky requires rest for your body and your body lets you know when it’s ready xx

My honest experience…. Woke up from my op and had to check I had new boobs as I was in no pain! My arms were restricted and my chest was tight but no pain. I was able to dress myself no problem. I brushed my hair at 1DPO, shaved my under arms at 2DPO, wore a over head jumper at 3DPO, went for a walk 4DPO and drove yesterday at 5DPO! I have just been taking paracetamol twice a day. I have a 3 year old and have been able to do everything as normal except lifting her as i don’t want to hurt myself. Honestly, the recovery has been a million times easier than I ever thought it would. I have struggled with sleeping but I was a front sleeper before so knew it would be an issue but i’ll get there. Everyone is different and I feel very lucky to have not been in pain. xx

I had my op September last year and the recovery for me was really difficult. I honestly hadn’t expected the pain to be as bad as it was. I know everyone deals with pain differently but be aware I was bed bound for almost 2 weeks, I couldn’t move my arms, I needed help with the simplest of tasks, couldn’t wash my hair, felt awful. Had to call my GP to prescribe stronger pain relief. I have 3 children and luckily my partner was home to look after us all (he’s military) without him home I wouldn’t have managed. I think recovery is dependent on placement as well, I had 400cc unders. Bit I’ve heard overs heal quicker and with less pain. Good luck with your op, I promise it’s still well worth it in the end regardless of pain, I love my new boobies xx

    Hi

I don’t know if there is a connection with smaller implants and an easier recovery, but I have found recovery a lot easier than I ever anticipated.

I woke up from surgery not even knowing I had had it done, I did mention beforehand I was worried about pain to the aneathesist so I don’t know if you’ve was given extra pain relief during surgery so might be worth expressing concerns about waking up in pain.

Anyway fast forward PO day 5, it’s been better than I could’ve ever imagined, yes my partner has had to help me get changed and make food and do all the housework, but I have never actually felt any pain, just uncomfortable and restricted arm movement. I have kept up on top of pain meds, and now I’m just takIng paracetamol, one thing I will say is that I have lower back pain from lying and sitting, but it has been nothing how I imagined xx

    Hey

I see we all have different experiences of recovery! it’s true that overs are experiencing less pain and are quicker to recover. I had 400cc unders 🙂 Waking up from op wasn’t worse, just felt very tight and tired not so sore to begin with. Didn’t feel sick as lots girls does after anaesthetic what is normal side effect, so was lucky with that. After an about hour I as drinking water through straw n had toast not by myself tho. Needed help with eating at the beginning as wasn’t able to alone, no strength in my arms at all. That changed in next day but couldn’t really hold anything heavy, wouldn’t do it without help of my bf had him helping me with all tasks as going to toilet n flushing as even trying do that was really painful n felt like it wouldn’t do any good to my new boobs! Needed help sitting up n getting up/ off the bed as any extra effort related to boob muscles was just really sore. Was on meds’ that was prescribed to me, taking them all whole 7 days. Wasn’t feeling sick from them, no side effects.. just st crazy bloating . That got better in about week, still here but not as bad. As days gone by I was more independent in daily tasks, was able to change my clothes 4 days post op, have small walk. . Now 8 days post op I can do pretty much everything, but trying to take it easy so my new boobies will heal at their best and drop&fluuf soon aww can’t wait for final results even tho I love them so much even now! Feeling so confident and happy with myself like never before! ☺️Best decision I ever made! It’s worthy every discomfort ????????

    Best of luck xx
