What should I expect from my pre-op?

Hiya, I’ve got my pre-op on 21st Feb before my surgery in March. What exactly happens in this appointment? What is it for? I’ve asked my PC but have had no reply yet.
Anything I should know before it? Want to be as informed as possible before everything is finalised!

Mine was really straight forward. They took my height, weight, checked my blood pressure and heart rate. I didn’t have any blood taken but I know some girls have said they did. You get asked about 100 health questions about whether you’ve ever had problems with your heart or kidneys for example. Then I was just given the chance to have an informal chat with the nurse about any worries or questions I had. All in all its just to check that you’re fit and ready for your surgery. Good luck x
