Hi girls! I’m wanting to order my macom bra as my surgery is next month, but I’m stuck on what size to get. I currently wear a 32 back, but my underbust measures 28 inches. I’m not sure if you add no inches, two inches or four inches to get your actual band size as I’ve never been properly measured. For those of you girls who measure about 28, what size macom did you get? I’m stuck between the xs (28-30) and s (32). Thanks xx

I’d personally get small chick I just got the same band size I wear in bras (34) which is a medium and it’s fitting fine. It was quite loose pre op but it’s perfect now. Or you could buy one full priced from macom with the mya discount and one half price from on here so you’ve got both for less cost? I’ve seen a few size small on here never worn. Never seen the XS though! I got mine from on here and it’s brand new šŸ™‚ xx

Iā€™m very petite. 7 st size 6 5 ft1 and always worn a 32 so ordered the small Malcolm bra. Nurses struggled to tie it after surgery but once swelling went down now fits comfortably x

Okay thank you girls! Think I’ll invest in a small macom, but maybe get another cheaper bra in a bigger size to allow for swelling xx

Just jumping on your post, I’m booked in for surgery on Monday, completely forgot about the bra! Do you think i can just take a good sports bra or am I supposed to get a Macom one?! Thanks

@lindsey229 My surgeon didn’t actually tell me to get a macom bra, he told me they’re good but to get a cheaper one! I just trust all the other girl’s reviews on the macom and it’s just an easy choice, but you definitely don’t have to! ASDA do some good and cheap post surgery bras, think Matalan do as well. A lot of people like the M&S post surgery sports bra too. Good luck with your surgery! x

Hi Hun just get the size you wear now Hun as even with swelling the Macom stretches to accommodate your size and them will go down once swelling goes and fit you still xxx

I got a SM and an XS. the first week I had them done they were so swollen and my XS Did not sit, it was so tight. so I sold it and wore the SM. now the swelling has gone I wish I had kept the XS as the SM feels like it doesn’t even support me any more.

I also bought a Debenhams High impact sports bra and it was heaven to wear compared to Macom. So comfy. So I wore that in the day and the Macom at night.

Good luck with your boobies šŸ™‚

Yes very, although, they are still changing weekly. some days I do not like them, some I love them, I think is to be expected for the first few months whist they drop and settle in!
