What do you do please?? Or planning to do?
I have long thick curly hair and crap at plaits/ french braids. What did you all do with your hair?? Do you know a way to do braids super crazy easy???
As my hair is curly it doesn’t get greasy and very well curly girl cared for so doesn’t need washing more than once a week. But my prob is if I wear it up it’s just in a messy high bun, and of course I can’t do that after surgery and don’t want to leave it to my husband to do 😱😱😱. Being curly you can’t brush it so it needs to be in a tight tide back style to stop it from matting 😬.. Any ideas so welcome!!!!!! Surgery end of next month unless crappy COVID stops that. X

Hey, they actually asked me to just keep my hair down when I went in for surgery. After that I honestly didn’t care 😂😂 low ponytails did it for me but with limited washing my hair just was not a priority 🤣 I also tried to brush it and just stuck headbands in x

I was told it had to be up for surgery with bands that don’t have metal on them, and I also have thick curly hair, so I just did some very tight pigtail plaits with the mini elastic bands you can get.
I used dry shampoo for about 3 days afterwards then just had a very shallow bath and gently washed it. The nurse said on day 5 I could shower again, my partner just helped to put the shampoo/conditioner on because you’re not supposed to lift your arms above your head for a few weeks.
    Good luck!

Hey, so I’ve got long thick curly hair too! When I’ve previously had surgery or any treatment in hospital I either straighten my hair to make it more manageable, or I will braid my hair into two (luckily I’m able to do this myself 😂).
You could always watch tutorials on YouTube and teach yourself how to braid! X
