What to expect ?

Hi ladies
I’m booked in on the 24th jan at the first trust hospital with Dr Traynor having 425 and 450cc unders.
Just wondering if anyone could share any experiences and any tips on anything and everything as I don’t have a clue what to expect!!

Don’t panic! Honestly I was pooping myself, all for nothing! Depending on your waiting time the day goes quite fast! I was the first one in and it wasn’t at all what I thought it would be. If you have any questions about the day feel free to send me a message 🙂 x

Aw thanks so much!! I’m so exited, I’ve not got to the nervous stage yet but I’m sure it will come nearer to the time ????. I’m just curious about recovery times and how you feel after it, do you have any tips? Xx

I second that want to know recovery times. Iron for a business and worried about how much time i need off!!

Me too I’m self employed, been told to take 2 week off but don’t want to do any damage going back too soon..

I’m a dog groomer and went back to working properly after 2 weeks, didn’t push myself too much mind.
Everyone’s different though and your bodies will tell you! 🙂
I tried to keep my routine the same just slower! Sleeping upright is a bugger but it does help!

Hey Hun, I’ve just had my op today. Went in for 8am and was second to go down was out of surgery at 12. When you get there a nurse will admit you, then the surgeon, anethesatist, someone else can’t remember who he was come round do some checks and chat with you. Then you just wait. When the surgeon came to me I just asked him for a rough idea on how long I would be waiting and he was pretty spot on. By 3 I was on my way home. My chest feels a bit tight which I was expecting but other than that I’m doing ok so far, not taken any pain killers as yet. Hope that’s answered a couple of your questions 🙂 x

Aw thanks girls that helped a lot, think I’ll take 3 week off just to be safe..
And thank you Lindsey that did answer quite a few!! Hope I’m the same and not in too long but I’m sure it will be with the wait.. what did you take with you on the day?? And did they tell you how long you have to wear the strap for and how long your not allowed to shower for ect… hope you have a speedy recovery! X
