What to pack?

I’ve just got my admission time through for the 3rd of May at the first trust hospital in Preston, 14:00! I was hoping that it would be early morning so I could just get it over with but never mind. Anyway what do I need to take with me to the hospital? I’m only a day case obviously I’m just panicking that I’m going to forget something. Xx

I barely took anything. All I actually used was the macom bra they helped me into afterwards, slippers to walk to theatre in, phone charger, and then my clothes- wore leggings and a zip up hoody so was easy to get changed into. Didn’t need any food or drink as I drank plenty of ice water and tea from them and they provided the food I had. Didn’t really need anything to occupy me, my admission time was 8am. Didn’t go down till 11am but I saw nurses, doctor, anaesthetist and surgeon beforehand which passed the time and just watched the tv in the room. I just made sure I had a pillows for the drive back home. Didn’t need my v pillow or anything in the hospital as they have the electric beds which makes sitting upright really easy xx

I had an overnight wash bag with me cause I was staying in the hotel on the same night so that was as essential as the next day my mam helped me wash under my arms and freshen up abit but if your going straight home you won’t need it x

Thank you Jessica, you’re right you don’t need much for a day case at all do you, I took magazines and didn’t even touch them. I did take a little packed lunch for my friend who came with me cos the hospital obviously don’t provide your chaperone with food and we were there quite a while xx
