Hi! I’m 12 DPO, mini lift & 350cc HP Unders with Dr Fiumara. I took face wipes, mini toothpaste, selection of sports bras so that your surgeon can tell you exactly what they want you to wear, spare knickers, comfy track pants & cosy zip up hoodie to travel home in. I took pyjamas as I was staying in ( I assume you are too if it’s a lift as well) but stayed in my gown until the following morning as I was too tired/drugged/stiff to care about changing! Take some food/snacks that you like to eat incase they don’t have on offer what you fancy. It’s really hot in the rooms so don’t worry about being cold! I took my iPad but went to surgery real quick after arriving & wasn’t bothered after. Coconut water is also great for rehydration & full of electrolytes so will help after the fasting pre surgery. My sister swore it helped with pregnancy & labour sickness, I was sipping it all night & only felt nauseous & was sick in the morning after they gave me an oral liquid morphine. So I think it did really help. Any other questions just shout! One thing I highly recommend is ear plugs for when you get home, my husbands snoring woke me up not the pain!! ????????????

Yes Hun I’ll be staying in for 1 night. What bra do you feel gives you the most support? I only have 1 m&s bra so far. Thank you for that list!!
How you finding it all so far? Xx

Hey! So I’m finding that under armour high impact zip front (£13 on M&m direct!) gives the most support but feels a little tight on the breasts. My surgeon prefers softer less restrictive bras & I just couldn’t find an m&s one that fits right. For the 1st week I had some seamless zip fronts from tk max, my surgeon said those week 1, more supportive week 2 & then sloggi/ Calvin bra crops. With the breast band it can all feel quite tight & restrictive on breathing, the sloggi fits the best under bust/around back (I’m finding as I have a small back 32”, even though they recommend larger back sizes for recovery since the surgery related swelling/bloating has gone down the 34/36 is just not fitting & is hanging loose which is obviously not giving any support) & the sloggi is way more comfortable as I was finding the high impact bras rubbing my back from 24 hr wear. The breast band certainly ensures everything is in the right place. I would highly recommend buying a 2 nd one (if your surgeon uses them) as it’s a bit gross not being able to shower & wearing something that cuts under your armpits 24/7. Macom sell them online & its def worth the extra £25!
Honestly it’s fine, I was expecting the worst, but I’ve bedn on just paracetamol since day 4 as the codeine they give you triggered my IBS to flare up. My nurse advised this & I can honestly say it’s just a little uncomfortable as apposed to sore & painful. I’m still taking paracetamol until the 2 week point & im gonna see how it goes. I think the worst thing was the horrendous itching after the surgery dressing was removed at my 1wk post op! Hope this helps! Any other questions please ask as there’s so much to think about! Xx
