Hii All!
So I am so excited I had my pre op yesterday and everything is OK for surgery (25th Aug) and I don’t have to see anyone else until my post 1 week appointment! Im really excited and scared at the same time I think that I have everything that I need but would like help from Post Op girls what know exactly what was a god send in those first few days xxx
Hi Chloe
How exciting for you 🙂
I couldn’t of been without my cool packs, body pillow and neck pillow X also Rennie, strepsils and polos, to help with post op tummy X
V pillow and neck pillow for sure ! I wouldn’t of been able to have slept without them! Neck pillow I got from pound land and v pillow from Argos . Also just have some meals ready made for the first few days post op because I didn’t feel like moving my arms too much! Xx
@Sam does your tummy get that bad? I have heard a few girls mention bloating etc hope it isn’t too bad!
@claireb2 thank you for that I have been looking for a V pillow everywhere so I will get one now 🙂 and ready meals is such a good shout never thought of that!! Id have been starving haha

My gel ice pack, my V pillow and my straw water bottle x
I found I needed the polos to help with the post op gas ? They helped a lot X I got a sore throat so the strepsils helped ease it and the pain relief gave me heartburn, it was weird but the Rennie sorted that out x try orange juice for constipation as well x
Are u London Chloe? I am in on 25th too! Wish time would hurry! Hope we get the admission time a week in advance and not days before I need it to count down to lol
My gel ice pack I got from Lloyds pharmacy, my v pillow (from argos) and some extra strong mints (as the GA made me feel sick!)
@Emily Heyy hun I am at Preston cannot wait! I have requested an early admission as I have a little boy so hopefully will get a 7:30 time! I feel like it is going really fast and I am worrying if I will be prepared.
Its great to hear what everyone else used a lot of people have mentioned an Ice pack so I am defiantly going to invest 🙂 🙂

V pillow, fruit and Netflix. I had a really good recovery though xx
I also cut a V pillow in half to put under each arm whilst sleeping sitting up I have had the best sleeps for years lol also Zantac as ibuprofen gave me heartburn and plenty of comfort food for first couple of days ? you can get v pillow for £6 on eBay X
I’d go with fibre (meds cause constipation), wet wipes for top half of your body & dry shampoo. Feel so much better when you don’t feel totally unwashed! 🙂
And I’d say a good selection of bras! I bought 2 macoms and three different sizes of M&S high impact sports bras. Couldn’t get either of the macoms or the two smaller M&S bras on.
Also, my pain meds suggested taking with food so I kept a load of little snacks – homemade protein balls, cereal bars and flapjacks, so I could eat that with them.
Good luck with everything 🙂

My gel ice packs are amazing right now sat on top of my boobs ! I had my op this afternoon lol. I got them on eBay, brand new but cheap. Same with my V pillow it’s a god send right now and neck pillow too. You basically need to make anything you would need normally close and create yourself a pillow lady cave hahaha! Straws ! easy to cook meals for if people arnt there.. Munchies, pain killers .. Lip balm is always a must for me and moisturiser lol. If I think of anything else as the days go by I will let you know! I recommend a fan too I’m sooooo hot and it’s a god send Xxx
V pillow, ice packs and straws for my drinks really helped me! Xx
Thank you everyone!! I dont think ive missed too much off im definatly going to get ice packs to put on top of my boobs haha ? cannot tell you how excited I am to have boobs! Will soon be on the post op side with you xxxxx
I’mgoing to take a small box of chopped grapes, melon, strawberries etc for after. Also I will take my own soap as a little luxury.

My boyfriend. I am only 1DPO and I could not have do everything this without him. Pai wise absolutely fine. The trapping is just very tight and constricting. I didn’t realise how little I’d be able to move my arms. I feel like a baby T Rex ? little things like flushing the toilet, unluckily my bed covers and opening doors have been so difficult he’s been an angel and I’m so lucky you have him waiting on me. I could never have coped with out him. So I’d 100% say you NEED someone with you at all times for the first week or so. Xx
I feel quiet sorry for my boyfriend hes literally going to be my slave for 11 days haha! I might not be so bad with all you help definitely stocking up on everything you have suggested, Its weird I am not scared I just feel un prepared for it all. I have 3 sports bras do you think that is enough? I have a Macom another sports one and a asda one xxx
Haha so is mine poor sod ? ahh trust me I wasn’t nervous at all. Not even as I walked down to theatre ? this whole experience has been amazing for me. Just embrace it no point in worring. Yeah thats more than enough – I have to macoms and 2 M&S sports bras. The nurse said to wash them by hand as it’s quicker. So I think you could get away with just too. The 25th will be here in no time ? good luck xxx
Thanks hun 🙂 Ill be posting pics of them on here soon enough 🙂 🙂 xxx
I have started a Instagram account if anyone is interested in following my journey its @myagirlchloe xxx
Hi Chloe, I’ve been discharged today from the London Fitzroy, to be honest the only thing I definitely needed was throat lozenges. After the GA my throat was raw. Also if you can cope with just paracetamols then you won’t bloat or have constipation from the codeine and co-codamol. It all depends on how you feel when you come round but in the 24 hours I was there I only had 2 paracetmol, so it’s worth thinking about hon xx
