What's happened to my left breast? Double Bubble? (5 months post op) Started by: Jacqueline

Five months ago I had different size breast implants and a nipple lift on my left breast to correct my tubular breasts by a different company. So I’m not a Mya patient.
The first pic was taken about 2 months post op and everything looks relatively even.
Then at around 3 months post op the areola on the nipple I had lifted stretched out to almost double the size of my other one. I mentioned this to my surgeon a few days later at my 3 month post op appointment and he said that my implant dropping must have stretched out my areola and that these types of complications can happen. I was so upset as if I’d known this I would have had both nipples done, as the main reason I had my op was to even out my breasts.
Now I’m 5 months post op and I have what looks like double bubble on that breast but I’m not sure if its that or if my implant has dropped to the side instead of straight down. As I have loose skin and a shadow that looks like my breast tissue starting to sag over my implant. Does anyone have any advice? So far I’m really not happy with my outcome so far, as I feel like I want a second op to sort out these issues 🙁 x

Hi Jacquelene , I’m sorry to hear that your not happy with your new boobs . With MYA we have five year warranty to replace implants due to a rupture , Capusular contracture . I think you should make another appointment to see your surgeon , and get him to rectify the problem .you’ve payed a lot of money to have your new boobs and your not happy with the result , why should you have to pay for another op , especially as you only had your op five months ago … Good luck and I op you get this sorted asap .

    Hi Beverley,
    Thanks for the reply 🙂
I’m not a Mya patient, as I had my op done by a different company.
At my 3 month appointment I told my surgeon that I wasn’t happy that all of a sudden my areola had overstretched and he seemed annoyed at me and had a ‘these things happen attitude’ and just said that all operations come with the risk of complications and unfortunately this one has happened to me with no mention of fixing it. But now I think I may have double bubble too, I’ve asked for another post op appointment but the company doesn’t have any available until May now. So I’ll speak to my surgeon again and see what he says, I really hope I don’t have to pay again to get these issues sorted x
