When are you allowed to have a good soak and get your scars wet?

2 weeks post op! I’m sooo scared to get my scars wet incase i get an infection or something? Im dying to have a proper bath inside of the tiniest one!!

i thought you could after you had all your bandages off after the 1 week post op check? ive been having baths ever since and i was 1 week post on sat!? x

I was told no proper baths until 6 weeks po. They say no swimming or baths until then because you haven’t to submerge your scars in water. I’m still on showers and tiny baths lol xx

oh crap! better stop having baths now then aye! x

You shouldn’t submerge them in a bath until after your six week check, I had my check on Saturday and I still have to wait longer as I had to have stitches removed x

Thank you everyone! I’ll stick to small baths until my 6 week check up 🙂 roll on the 16th March xxxx
