When can i shower?

Hi girls, I’m 4 days post op and hate having shallow baths! Feel so gross, just want a good shower? How long is it till we can shower?

Hi Hun, your nurse will let you know at your 7 day check, it depends on how your scars are healing, I was aloud to shower after 7 days but can still only allow just water to get on my incisions x x x

I was allowed to shower at 6 days. I had my one week post op check at 6 days and she said it was fine xx

I can have a shower after a month.i think the best way to find out if you contact your nurse as it seems to be we all different.

I had my strapping off 7day after op and was told at the appt I could shower from then on and not to have baths xxx

I’m 8 days PO and just had my first shower… It was a lot harder than I thought ?? even trying to wash my own hair… I’m currently in the middle of drying it and out of breath ? Baby steps! x

I could shower from 9 days. At 1 week appt she put new dressing on that I had to keep on for 2 days then I was allowed to shower. Everyones different your nurse will let you know xx

Okay girls, thank you so much! I cant wait to have a proper shower!! I have my nurses appointment tomorrow. Will be 6 days, so fingers crossed. I guess either way, it’ll all be worth it in the long run. Thanks ladies, glaf youre all healing okay xxx
