I waited till my six week check when they said it was ok and to be honest I tried a couple of times earlier but it wasn’t comfortable cos it put pressure on my incisions. I think try to stay as upright as possible for the first two weeks till they settle, give your nurse a call and see what she says x

I’m 3 weeks post op and saw my surgeon yesterday. I asked the same question. She said 5 more weeks on my back, ie 8 weeks in total. Xx

I hated sleeping on my back as well! I had the same problems as you but at my 1 week check my nurse said to carry on sleeping on my back unless it was comfortable on my sides so I think I started sleeping on my sides after about 3 weeks. You have to listen to your nurse unfortunately & your body Hun

I’ve just had my 7day post op & i’ve been sleeping on my side for the last 2 nights. My nurse said as long as i’m comfy & not waking up in pain as long as i’m not on my front it’s not a problem xx

I’m just over four weeks post op, and just comfortable sleeping on my side. However, I have a Breast band keeping everything in place. I can’t even sleep on my back without it as it gives my boob ache. X
