When can I take off strapping?

I’m 2 days po and its starting to irritate me

Hi hun when you have your post op appointment the nurse will take them off and trim/take out stitches and she will clean them and have a look to make sure they healing dont take them off before as they will be open to infection.
I had to have steri strips on mine after she took the big plasters off but not everybody does they are annoying but try not to mess with them it will irritate them more x

Oh I know not to take the bandages off but the foam strapping that’s all over my chest can come off before right?

Hello , had mine done today and my nurse said do not touch your strapping it is extremely important to recovering as it offers support too. I shall be leaving mine. But looking forward to not sleeping in my stockings!!

Well I was told by nurse take it off after 4 days but was hoping I could just take it off tonight it’s squishing my stomach and all the cramps from medication driving me crazy! Had my op on Friday so…

Isn’t it frustrating that we all get different advice!!! Xxx
