when could people drive?

hiya, can people please let me know how long it was until they could driver after a BA. I need to be back to work a week later and an totally worrying I wont be able to drive and I HAVE TO BE AT WORK. freaking out x

A week should be fine, I was driving by then, I think they say its not safe because the anesthetic can make people drowsy xx

I drove 6 days PO and was fine but couldn’t get into 5th gear. I finally got in to 5th gear on day 8! X

I had my op on Tuesday 6th & I drove to work following Monday x

@Chloe Check with your insurance company too. I had my op on the Tuesday afternoon and felt totally fine afterwards so then drove on the Friday. The nurse wasn’t happy as any sudden movements (ie, to dodge a car, and accident etc) could’ve caused me problems with incisions/settling. But I then found out that I wouldn’t have been covered on insurance either because of the surgery xxx

I drove a week post op but also struggled to get into 5th gear for the first few days!! Xx
