When do we stop taking the pill?

I’m confused by this as have seen a few different posts about it. I really don’t want to stop taking the pill over Christmas cos I’ll get really spotty and the pill prevents this….but it will be 6 weeks until my op on Sunday so I think I’ll have to stop taking it then. Can someone help???

2 weeks before xxx

I was told 1week before xx

I was told weeks before and I can restart 1 day after x

2 weeks before and 2 weeks after x

Ah 2 weeks before thats fine by me. Thank you ladies xxx
