When will I be able to shower??!!

Hi there – currently 6 days post-op and seeing nurse tomorrow to check all is healing ok. Will I then be able to have a proper shower/bath and get wet? Am fed up of armpit wiping!!!!

U can have shallow baths now. I Saw nurse at 6 days and had to wait until today to get a proper shower n get the incisions wet at 10days po xx

Yh you should be able to if the nurse thinks you’ve healed well 🙂 x

Will it be showering only…anyone know when it’s ok to have long laying back soaks in the bath again? Can’t wait!!!!

Proper baths are around 6 weeks I think hun. I had my first proper shower at 2 weeks. Best shower ever lol x

Hi Hun,
I went for my 1 week PO today and have no more dressings and was told I can shower etc as normal and get the incisions wet…
Im still not so sure about this so am going to be keeping them dry for as long as i possibly can, So will stick with my shallow baths wearing my bra and top for a bit longer haha xx
