Which antibiotics??

Hi ladies quick question … Can any post op girls tell the name of the antibiotics they prescribe for after the op? I’m just curious as some make me quite sick thanks ladies x x

I have Augmenting 625mg tablets (co-amoxiclav) amoxicillin and calculable acid

3x a day – in addition to cocodamol – Im a pill popper now :o) x

I had the same and they made me sick 🙁 xx

Thanks girls @tanya1 and @ellechick I’m having mine on Sunday and I’m just at that point where I am thinking of every possible question to ask!! I’ve had amoxicillin before and it’s been ok so fingers crossed il be fine I always get sick with Flucloxicillin and metronidazole !! I am used to co codamol too from having a pelvic injury so hoping I won’t get too many side effects !! Xx

Hi rosy, I had the Flucloxicillian.. And low dose co-codamol. You can actually get stronger over the counter than what they give me! The stronger ones are called Solpadeine.. If your used to codeine you have no probs taking the solpa if needed. Good luck Hun xxx

@rosy853 yeah Hun feeling better.. They still Madonna coneish but I’m only 2 wks PO so time yet. Incisions are bit sore today.. Got one that didn’t heal aswell as the other so it’s more tender, still swollen and got a nasty big scab on it. Other than that really good, driving, pretty much nearly doing everything like normal. Can’t wait till I can lie down again, don’t know exactly how long you have to sleep at 45 deg. How long till your Op Hun??

@chipmunk that’s brilliant!! I’m so pleased for you! I’m in Preston on Sunday it’s felt like forever to finally get here! I’m worried about the sleeping upright too I always sleep half on my side half on my stomach , I’m going to struggle. I’ve read some girls have waited 6 weeks but others have just waited till they felt comfortable so I guess your body will let you know when you can get back to normal sleeping haha!! Xx
