    i heard this can happen when things go wrong and when it does its very painful, has this happened to anyone? and how can this be avoided.

    its called capsular contraction. its when excess scar tissue builds up around the implant. theres nothing you can do to avoid it, but the chances of getting it are very low. its not painful though, your boobs just go a funny shape and you have to have revision surgery.

    thanks, is it less likely to occur if the implant is under the muscle?

    erm im not sure! i dont think it matter tbh, if its going to happen then it will! its all to do with how your body reacts to the implants. if it rejects them, then scar tissue will build up around them etc etc leading to cc.
    i know that having unders lessens the risk of bottoming out alot though if that helps!

    Ive had an uplift with implants 12 days ago and i noticed from day 8/9 (evening time) my boobs were hardening, spoke to the nurse when i went for my post op visit as i was getting a bit concerned, she said its nothing to worry about they are just settling in. The hardening reminded me of when i was at the end of my pregnancies when your stomach tightens and is a bit uncomfortable. i did mention cc to the nurse but she said its very uncommon and unlikely.
