Why do they take before pics?

So I had my pre op yesterday at transform and was really taken by surprise when the nurse said that she needed to take before pics! From the front and sides and slightly twisting on each side. Why do they do this? Just curious! Xx

My surgeon done it at spire hospital its so they can make a profile of u as a pateint. Mines has asked if he can put it on his web page which he can as my heads not in the picture. Iv took a before shot myself and going to keep taking pics of progress so i can see the difference xx
