I know it’s normal to be in pain after an operation but I really am starting to regret having it done (breast augmentation), I literally cannot do anything, I keep being sick, I have chest pains and I can’t sleep no matter what position im in! Why didn’t I just stick to having no boobs 🙁 I’ve spoken to the nurse who said its normal to feel the way I am and to stop taking cocodamol as that is what is making me sick! I suffer with asthma too so these chest pains aren’t helping my situation at all. I should be loving my boobs not hating them 🙁
Sorry to hear you’re in pain 🙁 Hopefully it’ll all be worth it in the end hun! Xx
Aww you’ll be fine! I didn’t get cocodamol, just regular paracetamol, which I was pleased about as I have heard people say cocodamol makes them sick. Try taking 2 paracetamol and then 2 hours later 2 ibuprofen, that’s what I’ve been doing and I’m not feeling much pain, it’s dull and constant but not unbearable! Xxx
I was sick for days, but my nurse said it’ because of the anaesthetic wearing off. Only lasted a few days.
It will get better I promise. Have u got a v pillow? You should get one if you don’t as I’ve never been able to sleep
On my back, but somehow I’m managing with one of them xx keep smiling sweetie, you will soon be back to normal and have gorgeous boobies 😉 xx
Sorry to hear you are not well! It will get better. It’s normal to question yourself but it is worth it. Xx
I felt like this the first two days but don’t now Hun, I’m sorry you’re having a tough time with recovery, have you tried calling your gp? To see if they can advice you of any help? Have you tried ice packs at all those first two days I swore by them? Wrap in tea towel and hold ontop of breasts gave me some relief, I’ve also been using deep breathing exercises, and as soft as it sounds try to be calm and roll with it rather than tense up and fight it, almost treat it like you would labouring, I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you feel much better very soon xxxxx
Sorry for the slow reply girls! thank you for all commenting, it makes me feel much better! I thought I was dying yesterday haha, I was sick around 15 times, I couldn’t keep anything down at all, not even water. I’ve had to stop taking cocodamol and the antibiotics as the nurse wasn’t sure which was making me sick, I had a paracetamol yesterday but thrown that back up too! So I’ve had to deal with the pain without any pain relief, I’m scared to try any medication today 🙁 I’ve got a v pillow but I can’t get comfy with it, my bum is very sore because that’s the only position I can lie in, hopefully I’m not getting a pressure sore lol! I haven’t used ice packs I haven’t thought of that actually?! I contacted my GP yesterday and he gave me anti sickness tablets which I thrown back up, it’s like my body is rejecting any type of medication! This whole experience is so daunting I wish I was more aware of how difficult the recovery would be, of course it was going to hurt but wow what an awful experience 🙁 thank you again girlies, I hope you’re all okay xxx
Oh dear, it seems to me you’re one of the unlucky ones who’s allergic to medication:( my mother in law is like that, she can’t have any antibiotics or painkillers.
Don’t know what to suggest apart from definitely stop taking co codamol. I’m usually ok with pills but that one have me violent cold shivers.
Ice helps, it’s a massive relief, try that. Move it around though, you still need blood to flow for healing.
I felt exactly the same was so depressed and hated myself for doing it but im 5 weeka post op now and i have got over it completly best thing i ever did ! It will pass huni xx
Aw xx i felt the same for ages! I was ill off the meds too and was really ill. No pain just ill! Ugh. I was literally having panic attacks because i thought i was going to die ! Lol. It does pass though, i drank so much smoothies and just bottled water. And ready salted crisps lol. Hope you feel better xx
