Why have i had costs added?

Hey girlies, im so lost on this as it’s my first time on the forum, i had my first consultation with MYA at the manchester clinic and last week went back for my surgeon consultation. My patient co-ordinator rang me on the way back home and quoted me and extra £500 than she quoted the first consultation i had, i didnt realise until after i got home and looked at my documents.
Did this happen to anyone else?

It could be the type of implants the surgeon has written in your notes. You may have been quoted for naturelle’s but the surgeon has written Mentor’s in your notes. MYA have recently started using the mentor range and they are slightly more expensive. Give your PC a ring back and ask her to explain. Hopefully it’s just a misunderstanding xx

This happened to me, my PC quoted me a price on what she thought but when I met the Consultant he said I needed additional work which resulted in an extra cost. To be honest I didn’t question it as I thought the Consultant is medically trained opposed to my PC so knows what he’s talking about. Hope that helps

no i havent yet, in all honesty i have another consultation with a different group on the 3rd of june, so i was just going to wait to see what they say and then call mya after and ask why the cost had gone up and tell them what the other place had quoted me. he didnt see i needed any extra work done, in fact he pretty much made out like i needed less, so i dont get where the extra money has come from? is there someone i could email to ask or do you think its best to ask the pc? xx

Ask your PC mine is brilliant I text her a lot if I have any questions about anything and she’s really helpful x
