With all my health hassles and worries both my kids have now come down with stinking colds and sore throats. I’ve 8 days til my op.
Will thy still operate on you if u have a cold. I know they won’t if u have chest infection water infection etc but it will just be my luck to come down with it too….. 🙁
Anyone know what happens what’s the score?
Hi Nicole, I hope you are feeling better hun.. I had the flu and they wouldn’t lie me have my op over a year ago.
How are you feeling?
Still not quite there but fully expect to get kids cold as well. Did they postpone and did u get charged?
Flu I can understand but anyone know about a cold?
Hey Nicole
No they wount postpone your surgery aslong as you don’t have a high temperature/ fever tooth infection, chest infection etc
I had a sore throat prior to surgery and was on antibiotics which I took about a month before but I had a very mild cold but was ok
Aah thanks…fingers crossed then I don’t have another obstacle to hurdle …..and something else to obsess about x
@candybabey you said tooth infection? ive got an infection in my gum which antibiotics didnt shift..dentist says to just see how it goes, is this a definate they wont do ba hun as dnt think the lumps in my gum will just go away xx
nevermind ive got anti biotics now, stronger ones so should shift it in time for op! x x
Well if you have an infection and it doesn’t go your at risk of having further risk of removing the implants even. They wount do the surgery but that’s as far as I know it all depends what your surgeon feels if it was the.case you did have a current infection. On surgery day possibly surgery could be postponed untill your infection has cleared up
@sarah
As I thought I’ve now got sore throat 🙁 thanks kids…got a week to go to clear up and sort my breathing issues ….
I got told if you have a really bad cough they won’t operate either. I had a slight cough the day of my op and had to stifle it when seeing nurses etc cuz I was so worried they’d cancel lol
So has anyone got there on the day and they have decided not to operate? What happens then?
