Wire bras

Hey girls,
I was wondering what you’ve all been the in regards to wearing a wired bra!? I know some have said wait 3 months some say 6 months! But generally, how did you all feel wearing one and where did you get them from?! Xxx

I wore one from 6 weeks. As long as it isn’t irritating the incisions I was told it’s fine x

Same as Sarah Mr kazzazi did say try wear your sports bra as much as possible as the wires can cause damage to implants. As long as inscisions are ok and you get the correct fit it shouldn’t be a problem

Yeah that’s what I thought lol, when I saw my surgeon Monday he said to wear it but only if comfortable, which I understand but when I got measured yesterday the woman was really hesitant on letting me get a wired bra as I’m only 3 month PO?! I got one anyway after much begging, but I felt a bit deflated afterwards and didn’t end up wearing it :(! Xxx

I will say we look forward to getting out of sports bras and into pretty bras but they seem so uncomfortable after not wearing them for ages

Okay so I put it on and then wanted to take it off again! Felt so weird wearing a proper bra lol!! Xx

Are we not supposed to be wearing underwired bras yet? Where do you even get bras this bag without wiring aha? I found it so uncomfy at first after wearing sports bra but have been wearing a bra from 6 weeks PO x

Apparently not, but everyone keeps being told different?! thats why i wanted to know lol. i still haven’t worn my wired bra, I’m too scared now lol x

It’s fine honestly lol. Don’t panic! Who said you can’t wear under wired? I’ve been wearing underwired since 6 weeks and I’m nearly 11 now. I’ve been fine x

My surgeon said not to wear one until 3 months.. as we are still really early on in the healing process! and i didn’t want to deform anything aha! I think everyone gets told so many different things, by there surgeons and PC’s that its difficult to really understand who to believe, but we all know our own bodies i guess! Im 14 weeks post op now, so slowly want to get used to wearing a wired bra again! xxx

I’ve stopped wearing an underwired bra now!! Scared me.. I thought it was fine to be wearing from 6 weeks :/ xx

this what i mean! So many people being told different things! The woman who measured me said its six months as thats when you start to heal! Burgh, I’m just gonna sports bra it at night and non undesired bras during day then slowly get back into wearing bra lol xxx

My surgeon said he had a meeting with All the surgeons at the hospital he works at and they were discussing it. Some said 4 weeks, some said 6 weeks, some said more. He said this just proves there’s no set actual time. He said to me I could wear one whenever I felt comfortable doing so. As long as the wire isn’t irritating the incision he said it’s fine 🙂 x
