WORKING AFTER OP

im currently in the research stage of BA. just wondering, do you get signed off work by the surgeon at all fir the first week?

Hi Su,

I asked the same question to my PC and she said that MYA issues a medical note that you then take to your doctor and then they like translate it into a confidential sick note for your employer. I hope this helps and I hope it’s true as I am counting on it lol! X

Also I’m not quite sure at what stage MYA issues the medical note with the details as I have booked my procedure in for November. Hopefully someone who has already had theirs done can help on a time scale x

I took 2 weeks holiday from work and after that one week sick from GP no problem at all, doctor even ask me if he can writing reason and if my employer know about it.
