Did anyone on here work out daily prior to their op, and how long was it before you felt you could do everything as you did before?
I do weights and cardio daily as well as yoga every now and then. What experiences have people had with exercise after healing

Yes me too. I’m very active so the thought of not traiing is horrible.

I do pole dancing and horse riding as hobbies so they will both be difficult to get back into…

    Hey girls

I’m a fitness freak and the thought of no exercise for 6 weeks made me want to CRY. Basically my surgeon said after three weeks I can start lightly. So on week three I started. As opposed to running very fast for 30 mins on running machine which I used to do before I’m now power walking and on incline for 30 mins and for using cross trainer for 30 mins not using arms just legs so I’ve been doing an hour 4 times a week (started last week on 3 weeks post op) and I feel great and sooo pleased I can work out and start sweating even if I have had to alter my routine! I could prob run but don’t want to risk that till six weeks post op. Basically just listen to what your body tells you. You’ll know if something doesn’t feel right etc. I normally do stomach work too but not doing this till six weeks. So doing squats and lunges aswell. Sooo happy to be working out again. Oh and I’m wearing a very high impact sports bra underneath my high supportive gym tops and they don’t move! 🙂

Thanks @zm1989 that’s really helpful. Good to know. Yea I guess squats and lunges and things would be fine like you said. Thanks for sharing 🙂

Your welcome! I’m a hardcore fitness fanatic and I don’t do light exercising lol as all my workouts kill me and I’m like practically dead after but I have alternated it to still feeling exhausted but obvs not to to the extreme of how it was before! You’ll be fine to start cardio at three weeks 🙂

Yes thanks for the update hun. I figured I’ve just sit on an exercise bike as that would be low impact.
