    Hi everyone,
I have my surgery booked for 10th October- after the 2 weeks healing and resting stage I was wondering does anyone work with children in a nursery that has had a BA and found they couldn’t lift/do anything they could do before when they went back to work?
I’m considered quite important in my job and don’t want to let anyone down/ look silly and dramatic!
    Thankyou xxx

Hi Charlotte, I’m an early years teacher and this has been on my mind as I’m back to work in September. However saying that, im 13dpo and feeling good. Saw my surgeon for a check up today and he’s really pleased with my progress and has said apart from bathing and some bra restrictions, everything else he says is mainly as and when I can do it i.e if it hurts or strains, stop! (Obviously yours may say different) The only thing I will say is that from time to time I have to lift children and so I’ve had to warn my head teacher about my surgery as don’t want to be seen as not doing my job/palming jobs off to others. Although if you aren’t as comfortable with your boss/head you could say you’ve had minor surgery to avoid it. As I stand now I do feel I’d be pretty much ready to go back. Are you having overs/unders? Overs will be a quicker recovery (I had unders) xx

Hey Hun, I’m meeting Mr Traynor tomorrow and I’ll find out what I’m having then! Excited and scared. I think I’d prefer unders, as I have little/ next to no breast tissue but will see what he says!
I’m in early years too- preschool so I am lifting children up every day!
I’m scared my chest will be kicked/ hurt during nappy changing as that tends to happen a lot as it is lol.
How are you feeling now? What size did you have :)? Xx

I do know what you mean, luckily I’m teach 4/5 year olds but still some cases where I have to change on a changing table and we also share responsibility of changing some of the nursery children too sometimes so fingers crossed. Have you got someone who you can trust at work to tell them just so they know to look out for you or to help do your nappy changes?

Sounds like you might get unders then Hun as that’s why I did (well partials actually but think they’re mostly under the muscle) as I’m very petite, height and width wise so a very small frame and had little tissue! I had 255cc teardrops, they’ve taken me from a 32a/extremely empty b to a 32d 🙂 What sort of size/look are you after ? Good luck with your consultation! X

    Hey Hun,
Yeah I’ve got people to help with the nappy changes and normally I wouldn’t change nappies but on the odd occasion I do but I’m sure someone else will help!
I’ve been to meet Mr Traynor and I’ve been offered 450cc unders, quite a big size I thought!
But I’m 11stone and 5’6/7 with quite broad shoulders so he said that will proportion me out!
Are you looking forward to going bck to work? I know I will miss it when I’m off work but deffo need the time off! Xx
