so went yesterday to have my dressings off and my wounds had opened a little … redressed and sent home , the nurse didn’t seemed concerned about it but I am .. ive not slept with worry …anyone else had this ? xxx

I know hubby said that …cant help but worry tho ,im back on Monday im scared stiff of moving or doin anything to make it worse ; ( x x

i had the exact same thing after about 10 days just one of mine opened slightly and i was the same i was worrying so much and i mean loads! but it did heal eventually after about 2 more weeks i think it was just annoying because i couldnt shower still!! but i just kept going back to my nurse who was amazing every 3 days or something to have some iodine over it and then a dressing which stops all infection! try not to worry it will heal up by itself 🙂 x

2 weeks ? wow , so did u rest or go back in work ? im back in work on Tuesday that’s worrying me aswell as ill be lifting ect … Im even worryin about driving ?? has it effected your scar ?? x x

thats okay hun 🙂 && still have no pain a bit stiff still but i can move a bit more my brusing is starting to show now though aswell 😐 i actuality slept though the night last night lol other than that i’m all good thankyouu! xx

yeah it did take quite a while it was very frustrating but everyone is different you might be quicker then me! noo i was still in work didnt do anything different really just took it a bit easier and didnt drive as much, just be careful but it shouldnt open anymore. i would try and avoid lifting if possible! it has a tiny bit yeah but not loads and it doesnt bother me! thats fine ill accept but unfortunately i dont have any pictures sorry! ive never got round to doing it but i am going to try and sort it this weekend of my result and my scars, just means there will be no before pics! xx

Hey Hun my left incision was bleeding for 6 days after op had to have 4 bandage changes I did post on here as I was worried but nurse told me it was chest drain still leaking it was when they took my strapping off it was discovered to be the incision! But all ok I had to have steri strips on for an extra few days and I would say it is around a weeks worth of healing behind compared to my right incision but the main thing is that it is fine don’t worry but do try to rest that side a bit more and no lifting things!!
