Worried about infection…

Should I be worried girls, I’m panicking!! Contacted my nurse, just waiting to hear back from her. Just sometimes wish id never had them done!! ???????? help please!!

Ahh, hi Sophie, I hope your nurse alleviated your fears? what did she say? I am 2 weeks post op today and although I’ve had horrible neck/back pain and boob soreness my wounds look fine, but remember weve had major surgery! there will be internal bruising, and inflamation around a wound site is normal. I hope you’re not so worried today. xx

Hi Elaine, I’ve managed to get in to see the nurse but not until Saturday. I really hope it’s nothing serious. I’m just full of regret at the minute. Just miss my old body even though I was unhappy with it. The nurse said my incisions have been healing incredibly well so I’m just gutted that this has appeared last night 🙁 wish I could go back and have my old boobs back and my money. Xxx

Aww, you’re saying that now because of the redness, but really this is a very temporary stage. I have a friend who is a nurse, and she said the human body is unbelievably resilient, we can feel rotten, but our bodies are working silently and successfully to repair themselves. I have had little moments of feeling quite bad about what I’ve put my body through, I’ve felt sorry for it!?! I think that’s a normal reaction also. Weird to go through it though, and I feel a bit sad typing lol!! come on now Sophie, theres an end goal of a beautiful balanced figure to get out of this, so we need to pull our socks up and get through this mother!!! :-)xx

No not at all Elaine, I know what you was trying to say. You just worry don’t you, you go through all this and pay all this money and you want perfect boobies don’t you. Just hope it can be sorted with some antibiotics if it is an infection. I’ve managed to get in tomorrow evening at 5.15 instead of Saturday so I’m slightly happier about that xxxx

Really!! No way ???? Did they say how that happened? Hopefully the antibiotics will sort it soon babe. So sorry to hear that, hope your feeling better soon xxxx

I know I can’t believe it Gina!! Didn’t think it would happen to me babe 🙁 I really hope so! And no she never said. I feel as thought it may not have happened if I’d have new dressings put on at 2 weeks post op but the nurse said my incisions were doing tremendously well. Thing is I cant get my prescription until Monday!! 🙁 thanks chick xxxx

Hi Sophie. Your antibio’s will do the trick, I guess you were just unlucky. I was told to change my dressing daily from week one post op appointment. After I showered I should dry and replace with a fresh plaster dressing. But I hope that it clears up in the next few days for you 🙂 xx
