Worried after seeing the nurse for pre-op

I had my pre-op with the nurse yesterday and I came out feeling as though it was going to be postponed.

I’ve reserved my date but she kept saying how it all relied on my doctors now.

Has anyone else felt like this or am I panicing for nothing?

Doll I had the same, I needed a blood test as I have had kidney issues in the past. Just need to call your docs and try get it sorted with them. Did you have a blood test at the clinic?

Hi. I felt a bit uneasy when I had my post op as the nurse didnt even have the size on file in which I agreed to when I saw my surgeon,so that left me feeling as though they weren’t doing their job right. But I emailed my pc and asked her the questions I had & she replied with everything I needed answering. As far as times & dates go, I got told 3 days before my procedure the time I had to be at the hospital for,which was 8 the morning at Preston. And when I got there you could wait up to 6 hours to be taken down,but fortunately I was first so only waited an hour or so. If you have any doubts or questions,speak to someone who will give you the confidence you need as its a big life changing experience and you want to be 100% confident before you get it done. And Charlotte, I have frequent kidney infections too but she didn’t give me a blood test as I was expecting. I might call my doctors and let them know to be expecting them contacting and see whether they agree to put my mind at rest. x

Hey! Same as me this is why I was under docs for my kidney infections, and I only have one kidney! They did a blood test tho @ MYA no questions!? Am trying to get through to my docs to see if letter has been received and no. I’m panicking a bit now too! x

Got through to my docs after 20 mins and no letter has been received n the lady who deals with it is off for a week :/ .. I go to spain this Friday til the 24th and have my op on the 30th! The doctors have said the next avail appointment is on the 30th :|!!!!!!!! x

@jerrycharlotte Oh no! Have you tried ringing your PC to see when they sent it to your docs? Really hope you get it sorted. I’ll be fuming if mine has to get postponed because it’s the only week I can have off work until September and I don’t want to wait any longer. x
