Worried incision 5 weeks PO

I’m so upset I’ve just got changed in a changing room last thing on a Friday evening and noticed my incision has come apart and looks like it could be a little infected. They were healing so well and now I’m so upset 🙁

Does anyone think it’s worth calling the emergency number or should I get some dressings and book an appointment with the nurse on monday.

Am I right in thinking MYA isn’t open at the weekend?

The photo that doesn’t look as sore was taken a week ago (at 4 weeks PO) and the sore one taken today at nearly 5 weeks PO.

They look fine to me mine were a lot worse and I thought they were infected but turns out they weren’t so don’t panic hun xx

Have you had any weeping from it? Put a clean plaster on it and see if there is anything on it after a day or so and see what colour it is! It’s the surrounding skin that has changed, it has gone very red compared to your 4 week one. Was the photo taken straight after having your bra on?! Does it feel hot to touch compared to the rest of your body? I don’t want to worry you, I’m a nurse myself and Asking just incase xx

@ashytonnn it’s not as much hot as it is sore/itchy. I’ve washed it with clean hot water then put a dressing on it to see the colour of the weeping/liquid tomorrow. I think it’s infected because of the redness that has happened in the past couple of days compared to how it was dry and healing well before. Going to see how I am
tomorrow xx

I think it would be a good idea to go see the mya nurse Hun, even if it’s just to put your mind at rest! It does look a bit angrier in the second picture, and at 5 weeks I would expect it to look like the first picture! Do you smoke at all xx

@Jane Osborne how are u getting on…if i can advise i would say you are agrivating ur incisions with ur bra…purely looking at the red marks of the band going across it..i would suggest you put large size on but not in cup.
This dnt look infected but i might b wrong…i had c section b4 which experience from it gave me calmer approach to when i had my boobies done…i am 7wks post opp btw…my incisions go redish if i have tighter bra on or somet is constantly rubbing on them but i examine them so often..once i spot redness i take off whatever i have on or trying to loosen up to give them more air n then skin goes back to its normal colour..
