I dont have a little one but my older sister had a BA when her little one was 5 months old; hes a ight little chuck! My sister had overs, she was also adviced 2 weeks but told as long as it didnt feel like she was pulling or straining her scars she’ll be fine as soon as hes ready! She was fine holding him after a few days but didn’t start picking him/pulling out of pushchair or highchair for 9 days and said after that she was absolutely fine! If your surgeon has said 2weeks Hun you’ll be fine with that. Just listen to your body, you’ll be fine honestly! Hope this helps xxx

I had my BA 6 days ago and also have a little one, he’s 10 months old and heavy! I didn’t pick him up for the first few days but yesterday I started picking him up, using my legs to lift and holding him close to my body. I haven’t pick him up a lot but there have been times he needs a cuddle from his mummy! I haven’t carried him down the stairs or got him out his cot but I’ve picked him up for cuddles on the sofa. I was really worried about this before my BA but I believe I’m only doing what my body allows me to. You will know when you can/can’t do something. My family/friends have been very supportive as I also have a 3 yr old, which can be exhausting. I hope this helps, I wouldn’t recommend picking up little ones but I couldn’t wait 2 wks! X

Im having my ba next friday the 19th april and have a 2 year old, i carry him everywhere and im dreading it after the surgery, he isnt going to like not been picked up for 6 weeks (as the nurse told me) he is very heavy and i get a dead arm everyday from carrying him, i always carry him up and down the stairs as im terrified of him falling, pick him up to put him in the bath, highchair, in and out of car seat etc, gonna be a tricky one this! Lol x

I think the older they are, or example toddler, you are supposed to wait longer, but with a baby that fairly young or light you will be ok fairly quickly! Like all ladies on here have said listen to you body! Don’t over do things though you’ll delay healing and make things harder for yourself!xxx
