Hi girls π
I’m sosososo upset! The one thing I reallly didn’t want was stretch marks. I purposely got small implants to reduce the risk of this happening :”'((((
So I looked in the mirror and saw a large amount of shiny silvery lines all over the side of my boobs and completely panicked!! I’m only 2 and a half weeks post op so they will probably get worse. I’m not even allowed to apply any creams ect on it for the next 4 weeks! Has anyone had the same experience as me? Do they get worse or start turning red in colour??? I really don’t want them to turn red
Thanks girls xx
I already have a few stretchmark’s and I think mine will get worse now. what size implant did u have and what size where u before if u don’t mind me asking? did u have stretchmark’s before op or have they just come xx
I’ve never had stretch marks anywhere before so that’s why I’m freaking out! They just appeared litterally today out of nowhere π I was a 32A/AA and had 325cc and now wearing a 32DD sports bra x
oh god hun. it will just be because your skin has stretched to much if they are just silver hopefully they will fade just keep putting bio oil on to stop them preventing more. I am a 36a with stretchmark’s and having 400cc so not looking good for me lol I wonder if I should go smaller x
I asked my surgeon if I could apply cream, he told me I could as long as it’s nowhere near the incision and that’s what I’ve been doing so maybe ask you PC to double check and see if you can start applying now xxx
You can put cream/oil on from day 1 as long as it’s not on incisions x
Lindsey I’ve heard of sometimes stretch marks looking better after implants!
Oh I see but the problem is my stretch marks are all along the bottom on the side so I’m scared it will rub off on to the incisions. I’m just really worried they will start appearing everywhere and red in colour!!! I think I can deal with ones similar to my skin colour but not ones that stand out π
Does anyone have any cream/oil recommendations that have made a difference?
Thanks xx
I’m using bio from day 1 and I’m one one post op now, I had 300cc hp and I had a flat breast 32a like u and so far fingers crossed I can’t see any stretch marks.
Lucky u! I really hope mine don’t get worse :S I will end up regretting getting them done. I have bio oil too but don’t want to use it because the stretch marks are close to the incisions xx
@yas123 you could always try applying a layer of Vaseline above/to the side of the incisions but say a fair distance away and then using bio oil or something on the stretch marks? The Vaseline would act as a barrier so you wouldn’t get dribbles of oil/cream on the incisions.
Thats actually a smart idea! I will try that π Thank you xxx
I got strivectin which is hella expensive but tbh if I spent almost 5 grand on my boobs I may as well just buy the best stretchmark cream out there. I’ve only been using it for about 5 days on some very faint stretchmarks on the side of my boobs, so I can’t comment on any results yet but literally every single review I’ve read of strivectin is excellent. And I’d rather catch the stretchmarks early before they get worse.
I’m 3 weeks post op tomorrow and my nurse said I can apply creams on the top of the breast and not near the incisions so it should be fine.
I think I might purchase that I’ve heard some really good reviews too!! My stretch marks are under my nipple so very close to the scar. I either risk getting my scars infected or my stretch marks getting worse so dilemma!! X
Does anyone know if they turn red or will they just stay silvery? I will probably have a heart attack if I see red lines all over my breasts x
@Yasmin stretch marks most of the the appear if u scratch urself ! As I had quite a fee during pregnancy as I had a lot of itching and scratched myself …If u itch try not scratch ur self use a towel or something and lightly rub on ur itch hope this helps! Xxxxx
@yaz123 Stretch marks usually start off red and then fade to a white/silver colour. I have loads of very pale white ones around my boobs, but it’s just what I had before but made 10 times worse due to the stretching of the skin.
If they’re pale, they won’t turn red as you’ll have had them for years. I’m putting cream and bio oil on just to reduce the risk of getting new ones. Can’t see the old ones ever fading tho x
@yeshi99 stretch marks only appear due to the skin being stretched. I’m guessing you mean you’ve got stretch marks on your belly. This will only have been caused by your belly getting bigger during pregnancy. Scratching will never cause stretch marks, only scaring of the skin π
