would you recommend surgery 8 week before a holiday ?

hi girls does anyone know or recommend to having surgery 8 weeks before a holiday !? Would love to have them done for my holiday but dont want to be too soon from op for infection/swelling !
I am booking to have 350 or 375cc overs !

Hi Lisa, If I was you I would wait till after my holiday as the longer you wait the more time you have to fully heal. I know that you have a final 6 week check with the nurse and she can then tell you if you are able to wear underwired bras etc xx

I have my op booked on 30th March, im then going to Egypt on 15th May. I was told id have time to recover beforehand and will be fine.

Just accepted.. had a phone call earlier to say that my op day had been to this Friday! But slightly worried because haven’t received my email yet with the patient care package, even though they have said they sent it.. really hope it goes ahead on Friday :/

ahhh no way yeah they rang me too but I still want Monday so was going to see if they rang you or not because this Friday is really not good for me cos I have work the weekend and booked all next week off and my mum booked days off to look after me! but as you’ve agreed then they probably wont let me keep it as Monday xxx

its so bad because I also have a flight booked 2nd may and so cant have it done any later really but this Friday is too short notice!! and they still are waiting for my medical summary @clareb

@Lisa hey hun i had my pre-op today and within all the information they give you it states that they advise you that your able to fly short haul 4 weeks post op and long haul 6 weeks, take into cosideration though the possible problems you may have if your abroad, you will have to keep your incisions covered at all times and they advise against sunbathing until after 6 weeks as the skin is stretched which could cause hyper pigmentation on your boobs which wont look pretty, i think you should enjoy your holiday without surgery being in the way and then you can have ample time to prepare your health is paramount hun 🙂 x

I’ve just had my consultation today! An booked in 12th April 5 weeks before I go abroad said I’ll be fine as long as over 4 weeks 🙂

I’ve decided to wait and have the surgery after my holidays!! Thanks for the advice girls xxx
