I had my dressing off today and yay! I’m all put back together!
I’m having my stitches out on Friday.
In 11 weeks of having an open wound, I was swabbed multiple times for infection and they always came back negative. I was swabbed again during surgery and in an odd turn of events, I finally had an infection! Fortunately the surgeon removed that part and I was majorly pumped with antibiotics anyway so the infection was gone before I even knew about it.
I’m wearing steri-strips on my incision at the moment covering my stitches so I can moisturise my surrounding skin which has unfortunately felt the brunt of 17 weeks of dressings and feels very sorry for itself. But I’m so happy and excited to heal for good.
I have my procedure on Monday 2nd march. Very nervous and although I think I have a good pain threshold this is my main worry. I know it’s not pain free but is it really bad?
Hi Helen,
To be honest, looking back, the pain really wasn’t that bad. I was in pain for the first couple of days but after that it was more of a discomfort. I am a complete wimp with pain but with painkillers I coped absolutely fine 🙂
Thank you. I’m very excited but also very nervous but I’ve seen a lot of good comments about Dr Mounir
Feel free to message me or ask whatever you want, I feel like I’ve had the longest journey but it’s been so so worth it!
Thank you. Glad you’re nearly at the end
I am! It’s been a long six months because of my complications but it;s one of those things that couldn’t be helped. I should have my final check next week and be told I can wear bras again
Hi Zoe. Had to go back to the clinic yesterday had some leakage on the left side. The nurse was great repacked and redressed all good again. Don’t want to jinx things but the pain is almost non existent now just the ache from the bruising.
The leakage is totally normal! Scary the first time but it went on for weeks with me
Hi girls I’m new to this so just wanting to speak with others. I’v got my pre op tomorrow 🙂 having an uplift with slight reduction x x
Hi Catherine! Great to hear from you! Who is your surgeon? How are you feeling?
Hi Zoe. Yes feeling more and more nervous each day now especially now Iv had my pre op it all seems real. Iv got Dr Traynor i hope Iv made the right decision but I felt comfortable with him straight away and have heard good stories so we shall see :). What operation did you have Zoe and who was your surgeon?xxx
I had a breast reduction which obviously included an uplift. Mr Singh was my surgeon, he’s done an amazing job 🙂
Been following your journey Zoe, so glad things are finally sorted!x
Thankyou so much Jen!
