Was wondering if anyone had young children and how they found the recovery? My husband is able to have 2 weeks off to help but after that I’m on my own 😬
Mine are 1 and 2 so still a lot of lifting, running around after them. Hoping to have overs, will I cope by 2 weeks post op?

We’re told we can go back to work after a week so I’m sure after two weeks you’ll be fine, just avoid heavy lifting for a bit😊

I’ve read that you shouldn’t lift anything above 10lbs for the first 6 weeks as the risk is the implants moving out of place. If you can I would suggest getting other people in to help out and just try and take it easy. Easier said than done I know. I have 2 children too, my eldest is nearly 10 and has disabilities so still requires lifting and carrying a bit. I’ve asked my mum if she’d mind popping round to give me a hand while my partner’s at work for the first 6 weeks. Speak to your surgeon and they’ll be able to recommend for your individual circumstances x

I’m almost 2 weeks post op (uplift and implants) and practically back to normal now, I’ve got two young children and it’s been fine so I wouldn’t worry 🙂 the first week might be quite hard but seeing as your husband is there for two weeks it should be okay. If I’ve needed to lift my daughter I would make her climb onto a stool so she could get in and out of the bath (she’s 2.5) and that’s been working so no lifting so far!x
