Hi Girls
After trawling the shops/internet for weeks finding a decent looking, not overly expensive sports bra to wear after i have my surgery i have found one! I didnt want to spend £25 on one if it was going to be uncomfortable afterwards so i opted for a cheap one for now until i have my boobs done and can go out and try some on. I will post the link at the bottom of this post, its cheap and only takes a couple of days to come, comfortable too!
hope this is of some use to you girlies 🙂 xx
Hi are these really tight fitting? I got the m&s high impact ones and they are really tight which I know it’s meant to be, thinking I may order a couple of these for when I was my m&s ones need to be washed and so I got a different option. But worried they won’t be tight enough for support because of the price. Thank you x
Hey. Well i got a large which is 12-14 and im usually a 10, havent had my boobs done yet but it doesnt seem too baggy for my little boobs. Ill try it properly and upload a photo so you can see 🙂 xx
its a lovely fit and really stretchy! 🙂 xx
Asda sells a fantastic front zip sports bra for £8.
thanks Donna, they only had bright colors left when i looked, don’t think luminous pink goes with white jumpers haha xx
Be careful as going for a stretchy bra which is 1-2 size too big for you can cause you problems. You need to wear a well supported bra to stop your implants from dropping too quickly, if they do you’ll have to go for a second op to correct it.
90% of the support from a correct fitting bra comes from the band so if you’ve got a size 1-2 bigger then it’a unlikely you will be getting the support you need.
High impact sports bra’s may be pricey but it’s not as expensive as having a second op.
I’ve got one Macom (use MYA2016 for 15% discount) and have bought several sizes of a high impact sports bra which I’ll try on post op and return the ones which don’t fit. It’s £10 – here’s the link:

I 100% agree with what Imogen said, it’s really not worth the risk of wearing something unsupportive. Even if you’re wearing it before you’re up and about you still need as much support as possible, you would have just had a lot more weight put into your boobs which they’re not used to holding up so the support it so important. If you’re not sure what size you’re going to be and don’t want to buy multiple bras because of that I’d recommend getting a Macom as then you just buy your back size and don’t have to worry about cup sizes. I know they are pricey but as Imogen said it’s still a lot cheaper than a second op and in the grand scheme of things you don’t want to spend this much on your surgery and compromise results. I hope this doesn’t come across as rude or interfering, just trying to offer some advice 🙂 xx
Hi @serenevictoria
If fits me around the back lovely its just baggy on my chest, i appreciate what youve said and i dont want to risk anything. I have stuck with this one due to it being tight around the band, it feels supportive already even without my melons being done lol thanks for the advice though 🙂 xx
Hey @katewhite
I’ve bought a Macom in a small (32) and I normally wear 30 or 32 depending on shop. It fits comfortably and as its stretchy it’ll allow for swelling without being too tight (hopefully). My op is a week today and will post on the forum anything which I think will be helpful. I’ve got an Instagram page as well if you want to follow: https://www.instagram.com/mya.ba.2016/
When I had my pre op the nurse said buy a band size larger than you expect to be but from reading threads on here, everyone seems to be told something slightly different.
You’ve got 14 days to return the Macom so you can always buy two and return the one which you don’t use.
