I’m hoping to have my surgery at beginning of June. I was wondering how long i wont be able to muck out for? or turn the horses out (mine can be a little giddy sometimes) i know i cant ride for at least 6 weeks. I enjoy mucking out (i find it therapeutic) so will be pretty gutted if its the same as riding!! lol

My husband is going to muck out the week of and the week after. I’m hoping to be back to it by two weeks, depends how I get on. I have a very clean mare so shouldn’t be too difficult. She’s also good in and out of the field. Hoping to be lunging within a few weeks, she doesn’t pull if lunged in a bridle! I’m not sure I could convince him to muck out for six weeks though haha!
I was wondering about normal duties etc too! Luckily I have my Mum and sister to help, it’s more the riding I’m thinking about – wondering what it’s going to be like?!!! Hope they don’t feel massive or effect the way I ride?
I do jumping too – just hope I can squeeze my new additions into my body protector ok!!

ha ha ha, i clicked on it fast to read it though so i guess that’s me!! I ride a horse on holiday (quite badly….ok really badly) so can’t help im afraid but if you need any info on nosey people i guess im your girl

I’ve got my mum who will do them when I can’t (she also has a horse) so it isn’t to bad but just worried about turn out it’s going to be hard work if my mum has to do it for 6 weeks. I’m just going to miss mucking out! Me n my mum have a deal I muck them both out n she does haynets n feeds.. I hate doing haynets lol! But thank you to all your reply 🙂
