Hi girls, have my BA in 6 days (time is dragging this is going to be a long week!). I have help for the first week and a half but was wondering for those of you with little ones when did you feel safe to pick them up/ carry them? My daughter is two and doesn’t need carried much I am just anxious to be left with her if I can’t look after her properly xx

hey hun, i had my BA last tues and i have three children, my youngest 8 months though he is a big boy, i have been lifting him since 5 days post op… its difficult wen you have children and a home to run, it dosent hurt to lift him but my body will tell me wen im over doing it, it hurts more to grate cheese lol, i had unders so my muscles ache a little at the end of the day, if you have help for over a week you should be fine 🙂 xxx

Honestly, you’ll be fine. I have a 2 year old and the day after my op she threw up in bed and I had to pick her up (mummy instinct and all that I forgot I had just had surgery!). I picked her up and carried her like a week after? I am 4 weeks post op today and statted back at the gym lifting weights (only 10kg bar for now) and im absolutely fine. X
