    Hi girls had my surgery yesterday and so far so good. Did any of you use ice packs to help with swelling at all? Struggling to sleep at night but so worth it all!! X

    No I didn’t! I’m week post op and first 3 nights I couldn’t sleep wake all night couldn’t lay down
    I’m a week post op and now I’m laying flat and on my side!! Don’t feel any pain now 🙂 xx

    I’ve never ever slept in my back before always sleep on my side or stomach so it’s so not normal for me! And oh the ice seems o be helping me a lot it’s taking a lot of my swelling down. Did you have strapping hun or not? X

    Ye I can’t sleep on my back
    Always on my side lol didn’t really need to it’s all gone down no pain no swelling! Yes strapping have you? Xx

    Hi Sam
    I’m 4 days post op and I have had ice packs on loads since coming home.
    Found that it’s the only thing that is really helping, I had extra swelling on one of my boobs and it has really helped!
    The strapping is so so tight!
    Keep going with it, it can only help.

    I was advised to put ice packs on for the next day or two but I did it for a few more days because it helped a lot with the swelling plus soothed any discomfort and in the long run my swelling went down quick.

    Thank you girls. Think I am Deffo gonna carry on with it. Like you say the strapping is so tight anything to relieve it slightly ill do it! I’ve run out of ice so am currently using bags of frozen sprouts lol x

    I know it sounds bizarre but eating ice cream really helped me when i had strapping it soothed my chest and throat made it easier for me to laugh and cough x also helped with the itching and heat from being syrapped up x
