  • They do have this written in their aftercare terms (not sure if you would be covered under this, but I would defo go and see your doctor and tell him how you feel, reshow the picture you showed him) because at the end of the day you’ve paid for them and you want your desired look (even though they do look natural and great)

@kayleighmk I have if you look at my profile. I got over the muscle xx

@bsk1992 Sorry for the late reply, I have uploaded a photo so you can see what they currently look like. They are a bit lower than I would of like, which I am surprised because I did get High Profile implants, but I am due to have a revision as I have some rippling in one of the breasts, so hopefully, I can get it sorted so they sit a bit higher.

Sorry for the late reply @steviep when I got measured at Victoria Secret they told me I was a DDD, however when purchasing bras that size I find them a bit small so I would say I am an E

My bra is pretty tight to the point were after work I am looking forward to taking it off as it can be a bit too tight around my waist. I find every bra that I try on does that for me though, I am normally a 32, the nurse recommend that I got a 34 but I ordered a 36 and it is still tight!! X

I know M&S do it but you have to book an appointment in order to get it done (not sure if this is for every M&S but it was with the one I went to).

I am going to go Victoria Secret on the weekend to get measured there as I know they do it and that’s where I shop for my bras x

I can’t answer all of your questions as I don’t know the benefits of them also I think it depends on the person if they stay in or not from when you’re discharged, as I did see someone post about having to have them kept it.

I had drains in, you have two one on the right hand side and one of the left hand side. I didn’t know anything about them, I woke up from my op and I couldn’t even feel them on me, I didn’t realise they were in me until I had to get up to go to the toilet. So no discomfort there, but when the nurse did take them out before I got to leave it did feel a bit uncomfortable when they were taken out (not painful at all). I hope this helps a little bit x

I don’t think you need bio oil? Depending on what you’re planning to use it for. Also just make sure that on the day you wear easy clothes to get on and off like a zip up, maybe pack some biscuits for when you wake up if you get a bit hungry (you don’t want to eat anything too heavy) x

Oh ok, when I went for my appointment to meet my nurse before my op, she gave me paper work and went through the stages so 1-2 weeks they are very cone shaped and look stuck on, week 6-8 they will drop and fluff x

In reply to: Scared pointy boobs won't drop

You’re only 6 days post op, the paper work that you get does state that for the first 1-2 weeks they will be pointy and cone shaped. This is very common and there is nothing to worry about. They also advise that around the 6-8 week mark your boobs drop and fluff, so don’t panic at such an early stage x

I kept mine on for about 4 days after my op, but I did have times were I took them off every now and then to let my feet breathe because I generally hate wearing socks especially in this heat. But because I went shopping I took them off as I was very mobile and then just ended up throwing them away.

So as long as you know you’re going to be mobile then I think it’s fine to stop wearing them x

@amy thank you! I currently have a support bra from Marks and Spensers which is an E but I think I may be an F as the support bra does feel tight on me and can be a bit uncomfortable. But not sure if that’s just because of my stitches! But would say I’m an E/F (will get measured soon and let you know what they say) xx

    @danni
thank you, I live about 40/50 minutes away from the clinic, the drive home was fine, just have to be very careful on the bumps and typically have the driver drive quite slow. You will be very tired after your operation, so you may just fall asleep on your way back home x

I am very pleased, thank you. When I came out of op and I had all the strapping on for the week I was concerned that I wouldn’t like them and they would be too small. I was so shocked when I got the strapping taken off yesterday, fell in love haha. Amazing I look forward to seeing your story, hope your consultation goes well x

@lisa I had Mr Mr.Marcellino. I thought it was dissolvable stitching too, but when I went for my one week post op consultation with my nurse she told me they used glue and stitches, so the few stitches that they did use need to come out. Thank you, hope you are pleased with your reveal! x

I had a lot of strapping too all in the same places as you described. It is hard to deal with it in the heat, but best thing I did was just get an ice pack and place it around my chest, so it would cool it down x

I think they do get bigger than what is shown in my photo as I have only just got the op done, so if you’re considering around 450cc or even bigger then I’ll keep you posted with my process so you can see how big they get after a few more weeks x

    Menu

Aw thank you! I am sure yours will come out great! Keep me posted x

    In reply to: Sleeping upright??

    Menu

I was sleeping completely upright for a week because I couldn’t take the pain of when I was a bit lower having to get up from bed, I would get a burning sensation pain. When sitting and sleeping upright it really helped and I had no pain at all.

Now I am just over one week post op, I have no pain when getting up even when I am laying/sitting slightly lower. So it will get better within time, but just try to prevent yourself from being in pain and change how you’re sleeping/sitting for the time being by being a bit higher x

In reply to: Absolute agony… rescue me girls.

    Menu

You are laying/sitting down too low, I used to be on agony every time I got up from sitting down/laying down and I realised when I would sit/lay higher it would be much easier for me to 1. Get up out of bed/sofa 2. Have hardly any pain.

Also make sure you have an ice pack besides you at all time because if you do get a pain and hold the ice pack on the area it will help a lot. Or even hold the ice pack that normally hurts and try sitting up when you are holding it to try help the pain before it even starts x

    In reply to: Sleeping upright??

    Menu

Maybe you’re sleeping too low even though you’re upright, try sleeping a bit higher or put a pillow under your bum so it will help stop you from sliding down x

I saw someone previously make a post about this and I saw someone say that they went on holiday after their op and it was fine.
I am going on holiday soon too and I’ve just had my operation, I’ll be about 5 nearly 6 weeks post op when I go away (also short haul flight).

I’m sure everything will be fine, just ask your nurse questions about
Being in the sun, sunbathing, going into pool and if you can wear any bikinis or if they have to be unwired x

Initial consultations you don’t really need to ask anything about the procedure as much it’s more about finance, your surgeon, what prodeducre you want, maybe ask them if they have any photos that they can show you etc. X

@katie Yeah I completely understand, mine felt fine, they didn’t feel heavy or anything. But just be cautious that it may feel heavy to you. Excited for you to see your results!

    @chloe
Thank you Chloe, defo a good sized implant 450cc, so hope you are happy with yours too! X

@katie when the nurse took of my strapping, it was very easy to get it off as I was sweating because it was so hot, so that was easy. She cleaned my chest to get which did feel a bit uncomfortable when she was touching certain parts of my breast as it does still hurt a bit.

The nurse did tell me to take my time when getting up as she said it would feel heavy. But honestly I was fine, she did say she was surprised because most people say that they are heavy, but they felt fine to me. I don’t know if that is because I haven’t really been wearing a support bra until today, so I got use to them feeling quite heavy already, but don’t feel worried about it, feel excited about seeing the results!

At your pre op appointment were you met a nurse, they should of booked you in for an appointment 7 days after your op? And I think that they remove your strapping them, well I hope so….
I am meeting with my nurse today as its been a week since my op, but I did see someone write a forum saying they had their strapping removed after two weeks!! I hope I don’t have to wait that long

Everyone’s pain will be different. But as soon as I had my operation I was fine, I was sick a little bit but I think that’s because I got some chips to eat after, so maybe just stick to what the offer which is toast, and pack some biscuits or something with you.

The first few days after my operation I was in a little bit of pain but only if I was laying or sitting too low, I would get a burning sensation in my right breast incision. But when I found out the cause of it, I stared to sit/lay higher and it’s been fine. With the pain I high recommend ice bags they do the trick with easing the pain! X

In reply to: what happens at pre-op

    Menu

@stacey I do feel like there was a lot of hidden charges such as having to pay for my blood test, I had to pay £20 for my doctor to send a letter to MYA to approve that I could have this operation.

I didn’t mind paying for the blood test then and there but I was confused why I was told one thing and then had to do another. I do feel like one bad thing about MYA and I am seeing it a lot over the forums, is one persons told one thing and someone else is told something completely different, when everyone should be getting all the same information.
