Been to MYA Bristol clinic 3 times. First consultation was in January and I was still 18 at this date. First initial date of surgery was 2nd March 2016. Which got cancelled 24 hours before because they needed a private anxiety assessment as on my medical history I had anxiety in March 2014. This would have cost me £100 at my GP and would take 3 weeks I explained that to MYA and they told me to get my discharge letter from outlook southwest as that should be acceptable to go ahead. This was going to take 2 weeks. Surgery got cancelled and re-scheduled for 13th June. Which got cancelled again as they wanted a GP letter not a discharge letter. My GP was useless and didn’t want to get involved. After so many phone calls, appointments, letters. My GP finally did a overview letter to say she thinks I’m fine to go ahead with the surgery and that I had anxiety and an eating disorder In 2014 and I’ve been discharged from the specialists & Ive had no further issues. This meant I coukd finally go ahead. Although I had to pay £150 rescheduling fee during this.  So I went back to Bristol on the 2nd August 2014 to have my final post-op with Max, Joanna the nurse, and Faye. (Gabriella was away on AL so had a different PC. She was also lovely). I booked my surgery for the 12th September. All paided for up front and it’s finally starting to feel real!
