I was under the impression that I was getting an anchor lift if I’m honest but then realised at my 7 days post op that he only needed to use the lollipop lift.. I think they just decide on the day how well they can lift them with minimum amounts of scars Xxx

@annabanana I love that bra/top where’s it from?!! I think yours look bigger than mine haha. I must say though wearing a bra for the first time yesterday made them look so much bigger! The sports bras must have been really holding them down. I only had 200ccs! Xx

Hi Hun, my surgeon was Marcellino and I had an uplift with 200ccs. I was a DD before and roughly the same size technically but they appear much bigger in my opinion. I had a little trouble healing as I got an infection but as soon as they cleared up they healed very quickly! I’m so happy with my results and couldn’t recommend my surgeon and MYA enough ☺️ Xx

I had an infection, don’t worry too much, get it swabbed by the nurse and they will give you a course of antibiotics. It’ll clear up very quickly after that xxx

In reply to: Dressings still on 6 weeks po ?

    Menu

Yeah I change them every 2 days now she gave me a few sterilised kits so think that’s definitely been helping! I’m sure the different type of dressings so help us now ☺️ Xx

In reply to: Dressings still on 6 weeks po ?

    Menu

That sounds a lot like mine Hun so I really do know how you feel! My stitches were left in a week too long I think so may definitely have something to do with the extra healing time. And I’ve come out in a huge itchy allergic reaction to the dressings too ? she’s put a different type on now so hopefully my skin will recover a bit! Xxx

In reply to: Dressings still on 6 weeks po ?

    Menu

Sorry to hear that hun.. What have they said?? Well I’m at week 7 and still have dressings for at least another 2 weeks or more so hopefully you won’t have as much as nightmare as I’m having! ? but I’ve seen them wth my own eyes now and realise their only superficial skin wounds so I feel a lot more positive and I know it won’t be forever! ☺️ Xx

In reply to: Dressings still on 6 weeks po ?

Well good news! I just changed the dressings and they look amazing, like a thousand times better. So things are definitely look up ☺️☺️ Xx

In reply to: Dressings still on 6 weeks po ?

the nurse said that there was no physical sign of infection so I think they caught it early hopefully! Not sure about it clearing up but I’m going to change the dressing shortly so I will let you know ☺️ I’m trying to keep it out my head for a while as its getting me down tbh! Xx

I got measured yesterday, I hadn’t been given the all clear but I did anywhere and I was so disappointed, I haven’t gone up in size at all even though I had 200ccs ? xx

In reply to: Dressings still on 6 weeks po ?

    Menu

Hey girls, the nurse phoned me today to say that the swabs came back postitive for infection ? luckily the surgeon already prescribed me antibiotics and as there was no physical signs of infection so hopefully it’ll clear up pretty quick. Just super fed up and disappointed with my recovery now ? stupid skin! Xxx

I got my boyfriend to help me change my dressings last night and I’m glad I did otherwise I would have passed out with how squeamish I am ? hope they improve quickly! Haha xx

In reply to: Dressings still on 6 weeks po ?

    Menu

Thank you ☺️ Yeah although it was very unpleasant I’m really glad the surgeon himself came and saw me and now hopefully on the road to healing. I think a lot more has been achieved doing that than just “oh we’ll just put dressings on for another week” like I have been getting lol xx

In reply to: Dressings still on 6 weeks po ?

Didn’t go well at all ? the nurse got the surgeon in so he could see my right boob and although he said it was only small he had to cut away at the skin a little to bump start the healing! I felt the blood trickle down my stomach and it was so tender ? I’ve also now got to have a course of antibiotics just as a precaution although they don’t think it’s infected. I now feel back to square one on that side like I’m weary of using my arm too much, and it’s pretty painful tbh. Feel quite fed up! But hopefully it’ll start to heal now xx

In reply to: Dressings still on 6 weeks po ?

    Menu

Yes hun no pain almost whatsoever really. My right one is itching like mad today which is hopefully a good sign! Xxx

In reply to: Dressings still on 6 weeks po ?

Thank you hun, no not everything is covered.. My left has healed lovely and the scars are perfect by my right is just taking so much longer. The nipple is all healed but the vertical scar down from the nipple has about 3 parts that just aren’t healing (or not healing as quick anyway). I’ve brought some waterproof dressings myself that work if I’m in and out the shower in minutes so it’s just enough but I just want to feel the running water so much! Haha sounds silly I know ? xx

In reply to: 4 weeks post op pics ☺️

    Menu

@rebeccapierce95 Sorry Hun I keep trying to reply but it won’t send so I’ll post it here!

Hi Rebecca! No of course I don’t mind ☺️ At first I had 2 weeks exactly booked off work.. I then went in on a Tuesday through to a Friday, and if I’m honest I didn’t feel ready. A lot of it though I think was to do with still not being able to really shower due to having dressings on and the fact I have about an hour and half train commute so it just wiped me out. I’m lucky enough that I’m able to work from home so i took the next week off. Physically I was fine I mean like I COULD have worked, but it was this week really that I kind of hit me emotionally.. Sounds a bit silly and I don’t want to put you off or anything as I’m sure you’ll deal with it better but I felt down this week. Felt like I wasn’t clean even though I was washing in the sink etc and getting my hair washed JUST. So I took that extra week and then went back in the following Monday all fresh and felt great ever since. I think I would’ve been fine back at work but I just felt tired all the time and just felt like I needed a few extra days to feel human again, I was just lucky that my work are super flexible and it didn’t matter too much. I’m just being honest but like I said I don’t want to freak you out or anything haha I’m sure your recovery will be easier! ☺️

Regarding my scars their looking great in my opinion☺️ I am 5 weeks post op now and their all flat and blended, just still red/pinky. Can’t wait to get signed off so I can use some scar treatment on them! I still have dressings on now but that’s only because there’s one troublesome area that’s taking a bit longer to heal. We have to remember that an uplift has a lot more healing to do that just a simple BA, so it will take slightly longer until we’re back to normal.

    Hope this helps! ? xx
