It was amazing! My first time having general anaesthetic and I was so calm and felt super safe. Completely pain free, they ask you to count backwards and after 3 numbers your out! You just feel like you have drunk about 10 wines all in one go is the best way I can describe it and just a super tired feeling.

I checked in on the morning of, you get taken to your own room. I was a day case. Change into blue gown, the surgeon comes to double check you are all okay and happy with what you have discussed and confirmed in sizes etc. draws on you as a prep. Then one of the nurses will come and get you take you down to confirm your details before you go into the theatre.

45 mins later and I was back in my room. General anaesthetic will make you feel groggy. I had toast when I was back in my room which they bring to you.

The whole day was amazing and I was on my way home by 9pm, only because my mum and dad went for a quick dinner before taking me back home, which was about 1.5 hour.
